NikePlus says Steven Rush ran 2.87 mi on 6/26/2010 at 8:27 AM. My previous effort in the hot, humid Florida MORNINGTIME was .51 miles. Thanks KPX!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;if youze would like to be my Nike running buddy whatever or would like to see my running metrics, you need &lt;a href="http://nikerunning.nike.com/nikeos/p/nikeplus/en_US/plus/profile?page=public&amp;id=2830803492"&gt;this link&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Breakfast was some cran juice and most of a banana. Last night was some carbo tots, black bean burger on wheat roll and salad.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Let me get real, fools. The easiest time in my life to lose weight and game muscle mass was when I had no girlfriend and poor self-esteem. I would hit the gym with angst. Sticking to eating a can of tuna for dinner (or some wheat crackers &amp; salsa) was pretty easy. The second easiest time to be into fitness was when I had a girlfriend who was very much into fitness and who's 5K time was almost HALF of mine. This time in my life I have an awesome girlfriend who isn't much into working out/running/etc (but who is still incredibly supportive of me and will do yoga with me and go for walks) and have much better self-esteem. I have little hate and anger towards my body to harness in the gym. I guess that's a good thing. I still need some sort of Joseph Campbell-esque "&lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talisman"&gt;talisman&lt;/a&gt;" to harness and to give me that mental edge. Perhaps the Gain HP game will do that?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Also, I was hesitent to post a shirtless picture of myself on the internet. Odd right? That's 25 pounds of fat want to lose and gain back some muscle mass.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;the Good News:&lt;br /&gt;For Christmas I got a new iPod Nano and the Nike+ kit! This has gotten me starting to run again. The iPod Mini has trickled down to the girlfriend. I got an armband and have been running a few times. Apple &amp;amp; Nike really have a neato system with this.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;iTunes8 is a LOT less annoying than whatever previous version I was using which frustrated me. I've even subscribed to a few podcasts. It's really awesome how automagically new stuff gets plopped on your iPod. vanilla creme cookies (230cal!) from emergency food stash in desk drawer. There is a reason its called EMERGENCY food. Avoid this crap. The rice was the worst part. The beef + refried beans were actually pretty good. It's a bit scary its sooo salty and is room temperature stable and all that. Yummy preservatives! It's like 600 calories for lunch and it was all garbage. Not happy Bob.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;snack: fruit. hell yes.&lt;br /&gt;snack2: handful of nuts&lt;br /&gt;snack3: packet of oatmeal (plain) flavored/heated with coffee. please oatmeal... scrub away the filth i ate for lunch. this tastes like ass, so therefore, it must be great for me. Today it was just yellow+red. I think all of my spinach is wilted and shit anyway.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;lunch2: HB egg + a prune.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;lunch3: apple. red. delicious!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;dinner: studio night @ redvoid's hizzy. I'll take this time to create a blog about the food and fitness I'm doing with my body so I can later abandon said blog. Or Not. We'll see how long this goes.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Monday&lt;/span&gt;: bfast: Banana. Rice &amp;amp; broth. lunch: 7-11 turkey&amp;amp;cheese sammich on 'cracked wheat'. 1/2 of a protein drink. a handful of Combos (a treat damnit!!!) dinner: 1/2 Kashi pizza, some prunes. Dinner was only an amazing 435+40=475 calories. I'm sure I ate a deficit.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Tuesday&lt;/span&gt;: bfast: 1/2 Kashi pizza, some prunes. lunch: smartstart cereal &amp;amp; water. can of soup (40 or 80 calories?) lunch#2: SBDiet PB cereal bar (140cal, 10g pro). workout=back+bicep+cardio(20mins) dinner: tuna (175cal) 1.5 HB Eggs 1oz low moisture part skim mozzarella cheese. applejuice+diet mt.dew (dessert bish!) - at the gym i weighed in at 196lbs with ipod (3.6oz)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I can see how planning out what you're going to eat helps prevent you from eating crap.
